June was a surprisingly good month for Xbox console sales, which have been in a pretty bad spot for a while now. Some of that was due to this time last year being exceptionally tough thanks to the launch of the Switch 2, but it also seems like folks are trying to get ahead of yet another major price hike coming up in August.
According to the monthly report from Circana, video game content spending was down by 12 percent year-over-year, but year-to-date spending is flat. Subscriptions were the only segment to grow year-over-year, while all others declined, especially mobile
