On the Raw after WrestleMania 42, CM Punk closed out his promo segment with WWE Champion Cody Rhodes by saying the following line:
“I just got to stay ready, because you never know when a championship opportunity is just gonna fall out of the sky.”
Punk disappeared from WWE for over two months, only to return in July and win the WWE championship on his first night back. Since then, Punk, Rhodes, and WWE commentators have mentioned multiple times how Punk delivered on his word and cashed in when a championship opportunity fell out of the sky.
